Q. What is an Actuary?
Answer:
Actuary are mathematicians whose expertise lies in the areas of risk assessment, probability and statistics, all of which underpin the whole concept of insurance and the setting of rates. They are very well paid but the industry joke is that an actuary is someone who found accountancy too exciting.
